The self-drilling screw with up to 50 % time savings when fastening wood to metal substructures
  • Steel, Ruspert-coated (grey)

  • Cr(6)-free corrosion protection, approx. 500 h with no base metal corrosion (salt spray test as per DIN EN ISO 9227-NSS)

  • AW recess system for better torque transmission, a longer service life and optimal centring
Notice
  • Wing-tip pias screws must be appropriately tested for usability for each application. Only install using application tools with a depth stop and claw coupling.

  • The maximum fixture thickness lB is calculated as follows: Wood thickness + substructure thickness

  • Self-drilling screws must be installed with a suitable drill/driver (e.g. cordless drill/driver with depth stop)

  • The use of impact drivers is not permitted

  • Self-drilling screws must be screwed in perpendicular to the surface of the component

Zinc plated self-drilling screws must only be used in locations where permanently damp conditions are not expected - condensation is not considered a permanently damp condition (corrosivity category ≤ C2 in accordance with DIN EN ISO 12944-2). For fasteners with technical approval, the approval, and in particular Part 2 "Special regulations", must always be observed.
