- Waterproof and resistant to contact with industrial water.
- Acts as a vapour barrier.
- Excellent adhesion to the substrate.
- Ageing- and weather-resistant.
- Excellent elasticity even at sub-zero temperatures as low as -10°C
- Does not crack.
- Absorbs expansion and movement.
- Seals micro-cracks and porosities. Smooths out holes and cracks with mortar.
- Resistant to roots.
- Odourless and insoluble in industrial water or with acid solutions from the decomposition of waste. The water may initially yellow slightly but this does not progress.
- Ready for use. Non-toxic.
Do not apply the product in adverse weather conditions such as rain, snow etc.
Not suitable for use on drinking water tanks.
Joints must be completely filled when waterproofing masonry walls.
When waterproofing drinking water tanks, use Elastproof PR01_0890353002 or Pressulastic PR01_0890350301
These instructions are merely recommendations based on our experience. We recommend performing tests for each new type of application or surface to be treated.
Datasheets(X)
• Used as a primer and for finishing
• For waterproofing in both the new construction and renovation of: roofs, foundations, walls, dividing walls.
• Can be applied to concrete, mortar, fibre cement, brick etc.
• For protecting concrete against moisture and aggressive water.
• For interior cladding of non-potable water tanks.
• Adhesive for insulating plates made of expanded polyurethane, cork, perlite etc.
Mix by stirring gently from the bottom to the top.
It can be applied with a roller or brush, or sprayed onto the surface to be treated using an airless spray gun.
Apply to clean surfaces free from dust or poorly adhered residue, grease, dirt and release agents.
Treat cracks, gaps or irregularities with mortar depending on the substrate, leaving a porous, but slightly refined finish.
If the surface is very porous or irregular, saturate the surface with a layer of ELASTBIT diluted with 10-15 % water.
Proceed in the same way without applying mortar to difficult areas such as pores, edges, holes or irregularities.
Then apply 2-3 coats of ELASTBIT undiluted at intervals of 8 to 12 hours depending on the environmental conditions.
Apply successive coats when the previous coat is completely dry to facilitate deep drying.
When used as a protective vapour barrier for a cement slab or cement mortar to improve the adhesion of the subsequent cement, cover with washed sand 2 to 3 mm thick.
Amount used
Amounts used according to application are as follows:
• In roofing applications, the total amount used is 1.5-2 kg/m2 with a thickness of 1-1.2 mm.
• In foundation wall applications, the total amount used is 0.9 kg/m2 with a thickness of 0.6mm.
• When applied as an adhesive for insulating plates, the amount used is 1kg/m2.
Storage
Enclosure and packaging sealed at temperatures between 5°C and 45°C maximum.
