Anti-carbonation for façades, walls, reinforced pillars.
Properties
- Protective finish without joints on Recuflexim waterproofing.
- Improves the capacity of Recuflexim to withstand traffic.
- Increased resistance to water pooling on flat roofs.
- Good direct adhesion on porous surfaces such as concrete, fibre cement, tiles, ceramic tiles, wood and foamed plastic insulation.
- Ageing- and weather-resistant.
- Excellent flexibility.
- Good behaviour in permanent contact with industrial reservoir water.
- Range of colours stable to weather and sun exposure.
- Easy to apply.
- Adaptable to the geometry of the surface.
- Prevents mould formation.
- Resistant to mineral oil splashes and moderate chemical corrosion; clean after spillage.
These instructions are merely recommendations based on our experience. We recommend performing tests for each new type of application or surface to be treated.
Datasheets(X)
Protection waterproofing on the Recuflexim process for new construction and renovation of: roofs, dividing terraces, cement and galvanised gutters, plaster,
concrete, fibre cement, asphalt or bituminous sheets, wood and agglomerate by-products, polyurethane insulating foams, rigid polystyrene etc.
Direct protection against carbonation on vertical surfaces: façades, walls, pillars with reinforced structure.
Protection against rainwater, unpressurised moisture and leaks both horizontally and vertically.
Recovery of old waterproofing systems based on Recuflexim, asphalt sheets, aluminium or other well-adhered and non-degraded coatings.
Painting of porous concrete floors on pavements with pedestrian traffic, sports courts, shoulders, gardens etc.
Not suitable for vehicle transit, as the paint does not withstand friction and overheating from wheels.
Apply on consolidated and restored substrates that are dry, clean and free from grease, dust, dirt and vegetation that can prevent good adhesion. Do not apply on water repellent treatment.
On hard, slightly absorbent mineral-based substrates with joints, apply RECUPRIMER first, avoiding accumulations but saturating the surface.
Dilute to a maximum of 10 % with water on porous substrates.
On small surfaces and for touch-ups, apply with a long-haired brush. With a wool roller, apply in crossed coats without overspreading. Use an airless gun when applying to large surfaces to avoid the risk of contamination. Ensure that the coating is regular and adequate to the relief of the substrate.
Use 0.018 to 0.021 inch nozzles; dilute with water approx. 5 %.
On horizontal surfaces with a risk of water pooling, or to improve resistance to sun exposure, apply a layer of Reculastic on the Recuflexim system.
Avoid direct application in the sun or on very hot or cold surfaces at extreme temperatures or when rain is forecast 3 to 4 hours after application. Do not apply when there is a risk of condensation during drying.
For roofs subject to significant expansion, use a 60 to 80 g/m² fibreglass mesh.
Reinforce cracks, edges and critical points with partial or total reinforcement.
On vertical surfaces and for the anti-carbonation process, apply 2 or 3 coats depending on the roughness and porosity of the substrate.
Store in the original sealed containers at temperatures between 5°C and 40°C.
