- Internal serrations allowing for a positive hold onto cable and pipe bundles
- The design of the head guarantees a high tensile strength while allowing a very low insertion force
- For indoor and outdoor use
- Manual installation possible
- No additional tools required
- Resistant to basic oils, greases and motor vehicle fuels
- Not resistant to mineral acids and oxidizing chemicals
- Free of halogens and silicone
- Resistant to UV rays
UV-resistant cable ties meet the requirements of IEC 62275, EN 62275 and ANSI-UL 62275 standards.
These standards include a 1000 hours weathering test according to ISO 4892-2, part 2. This weathering test is a short test which corresponds to a weather and UV exposure of 2 to 3 years in a Central European region.
For application with high UV irradiation for general using. For extreme weather (e.g. solar power industry, oil and gas industry, marine or other application with direct sun radiation) special cable ties are needed.
Other factors which influences the life time of the cable ties are:
- Constant high temperature
- Substance like organic and mineral acids, leaching, ammonia, etc.
- Movable connections or connections with high vibration
- Frequent changes between very high and low temperature or very dry environmental
