THF-free adhesive for bonding PVC for pressurised fluids (PN16) per UNE EN 14814, UNE EN 1452, UNE EN 1329, BS6920-1:2000 and 2014

Features

  • High viscosity

  • Excellent fluidity.

  • Reinforced safety cap to prevent unnecessary spillage.

  • Cap includes child-proof safety mechanism.

  • Easy to apply.

  • Good gap-filling capacity thanks to the high resin content.

  • Strong bond once glued, which maintains strength and ageing characteristics compared to rigid PVC.

  • WRAS-certified for contact with drinking water.

  • AENOR-certified.

Advantages

  • High thixotropic index, which allows it to hold its shape during application.

  • Its high strength means it can act as a chemical welder for PVC, avoiding fluid losses.

  • Can be used for both small and large diameters.

Benefits

  • Ideal for water supply, irrigation, gas pipes, industrial piping, and drainage and storm pipes.

  • The child-proof cap helps prevent accidents in the work area.

  • Does not run or form drips inside glued pipes.
Notice

Work at low temperatures (below 5°C) require different practices: the pipe ends and fittings to be joined must be heated to 25-30°C with a heat gun. The completed joint should be kept for about 10 minutes at 20-30°C to ensure proper curing. For applications in drinking water, wait for at least 24 hours of curing at 23°C.

Instructions

1. Prepare pipes by cutting them at a right angle and bevelling the edges at an angle of about 15°.

2. Clean and degrease the pipe and sleeve using Würth PVC cleaner art. no. 0892100104.

3. Apply TIXPRO PVC ADHESIVE with a brush axially from the inside out, forming a thin layer first on the sleeve and then on the pipe.

4. Insert the two parts immediately without turning them and within 3 minutes of applying the adhesive.

5. Keep stationary for 30 seconds until TIXPRO PVC ADHESIVE develops the initial bond.

6. Remove any excess adhesive.

Do not move the joint for the next 5 minutes. For temperatures below 10°C, increase the waiting time to at least 15 minutes.
