On smooth surfaces
remove dirt and grease from surface
remove the film from the double-sided tape and apply directly to the surface
the day after affixing, put pressure on the foam again (because the adhesive solvents will have evaporated)
On porous, moist or cold surfaces or when applying over a corner
the adhesion of the foam can be enhanced by applying a neoprene adhesive or spray adhesive
In that case, remove the double-sided tape and apply the adhesive directly to the foam
