Features
- For preparing mass or reinforced concrete and mortars that require quick setting and high initial mechanical strength.
- Accelerates setting when laying concrete in aquatic environments.
- The use of prefabricated elements that require prompt removal from the mould.
- Preparation of concrete and mortars that will be exposed to temperatures of down to -8°C, two hours after processing.
- Compliant with EN 934-2:T6
Advantages
- Improves the performance of concrete when laid at low temperatures.
- Reduces disintegration.
- Increases the rotation of formwork on site and in precast plants.
- As an anti-freeze, it allows mortar and concrete to set and harden at low temperatures.
- Does not contain chlorides. Suitable for any type of concrete (mass, reinforced or pre-stressed) and mortar.
Benefits
- Increased productivity in processes involving formwork.
- Extends the working temperature range.
Precautions for use
- Clean all tools and working supplies with water immediately after use.
- Follow the recommended dosing range for the additive.
- Do not add the additive directly to cement or aggregates.
- The minimum amount of cement in the concrete must be at least 300 kg/m³.
- When used as an accelerant, it is recommended that you mix the amount of mortar and/or concrete that can be laid in the setting time and have sufficient means to avoid material waste. The final strengths will be slightly lower than those of concrete and mortar that are free from additives.
- When used as an anti-freeze to protect cement, water and aggregates from temperatures below 0°C, the temperature of the mixed concrete must be above 5°C, and the reinforcement and formwork above 0°C. No ice or snow must be present. Cover the concrete to prevent heat and moisture losses. Mix the concrete with the minimum amount of water and an adequate amount of cement. Increase the time for stripping the formwork to the number of days that the concreted area has been exposed to temperatures below 0°C since its construction.
- Check compatibility between additives in the range before use.

These instructions are merely recommendations based on our experience. We recommend performing tests for each new type of application or surface to be treated.
Comes ready to use and is added directly to the mortar or concrete mixing water.
Dosage
The dosage varies depending on how the product will be used. To speed up setting, dilute the dosage with water using a variable ratio of Speedhard to water of between 1:3 and 1:6 (by volume), between 25 % and 14 % of the mixing water. The estimated amount used is 20-25 kg per 1 m³ of concrete for 300 kg of cement. For dosages of Speedhard used as anti-freeze, the amount used varies between 1 % and 3 % of the weight of the cement. Test first to adjust the optimum dosage of the additive according to the setting time, the onsite conditions and the temperature at the site.
