Spot weld cutters for welding For compressed-air tools made from multipurpose solid carbide
The universal high-performance spot weld cutter for removing spot welds with pneumatic machines (e.g. Vario drill, expansion nail etc.) on all car body panels, including high-strength components (BTR, BOR etc.) in all types of vehicles, e.g. on the A-pillar and B-pillar, car door sill protector etc.

The tool has four cutting edges for more demanding work where compromising is not an option
High-performance cutting
Up to 100 % faster than spot weld cutters for conventional three-blade SC welding
Extremely durable
Lasts up to 100 % longer compared to spot weld cutters for conventional SC welding
Extremely robust
Much less brittle centre drill bit than spot weld cutters for conventional SC welding
Maximum comfort
Optimal drilling thanks to its excellent centring on the spot weld
MAGMA multilayer coating
- High thermal and oxidation stability (operating temperature up to 800 °C)
- Extremely robust and abrasion-resistant (hardness approximately 3,500 HV)
- Lasts up to 9 times longer than uncoated spot weld cutters
- Lasts up to twice as long as conventional coatings, e.g. TiN
Sustainable packaging made from 100 % PCR (post-consumer recycled plastic), 100 % recyclable and Cradle to Cradle® Bronze-certified
- Optimised cutting geometry specifically adapted for use with Wieländer+Schill's Vario drill with very high-strength steels (recommended rotational speed: 900 rpm)
- For drilling all steel sheet metal, including ultra-high-strength components (BTR, BOR etc.) at 1,500 N/mm2, cast iron, stainless steel sheet metal, brass sheet metal, aluminium sheet metal, zinc sheet metal, copper sheet metal, bronze sheet metal and plastic panels.
- Its extremely hard carbide makes it particularly brittle and prone to breakage if not handled correctly.
- Position the cutting tool at the correct angle. First, position the cutting tool in the centre, then make the cut by applying even contact pressure.
- Avoid rapid applications, side impacts and dropping the cutting tool at all costs
- If possible, use coolants/lubricants
