Spot weld cutters for welding For compressed-air tools made from multipurpose solid carbide
The universal high-performance spot weld cutter for removing spot welds with pneumatic machines (e.g. Vario drill, expansion nail etc.) on all car body panels, including high-strength components (BTR, BOR etc.) in all types of vehicles, e.g. on the A-pillar and B-pillar, car door sill protector etc.

Tool geometry with four cutting edges for the most demanding work without compromise
Extremely high cutting performance
Up to 100 % faster compared to conventional SC spot-weld drill bits with three cutting edges
Extremely durable
Up to 100 % longer service life compared to conventional SC spot-weld drill bits
Extremely robust
Significantly fewer brittle centring tips compared to conventional SC spot-weld drill bits
Extremely comfortable
Optimal milling behaviour due to very good centring on the spot weld
Magma multi-layer coating
- High oxidation and thermal stability (operating temperature up to 800 °C)
- Very hard and wear-resistant (hardness approx. 3,500 HV)
- Up to 9x longer service life compared to uncoated spot-weld drill bits
- Up to 2x longer service life compared to conventional coatings, e.g. TiN
Product packaging made from 100 % PCR (recycled plastic from household waste) and 100 % recyclable
- Optimised cutting geometry specially adapted to use with the Vario drill by Wieländer+Schill with ultra high-strength body steels (recommended rotation speed: 900 rpm)
- For drilling all steel plates including ultra high-strength components (BTR, BOR, etc.) to 1500 N/mm2, cast iron, stainless steel sheeting, brass sheeting, aluminium sheeting, zinc sheeting, copper sheeting, bronze sheeting and plastic panels.
- The solid carbide material is extremely hard, making it very brittle and prone to breaking if not handled correctly.
- Position the cutter precisely and at a right angle. Position the cutter in the centre first, then cut applying even contact pressure.
- Avoid hard attachment as well as lateral impacts and dropping of the cutter under all circumstances
- Use coolants/lubricants if possible
