General repair of structural concrete. Repairing holes, gravel nests, cracks or fissures. Repairing pillars, jambs, lintels, cornices, balcony overhangs and screeded floors. Reconstructing edges and shapes of damaged prefabricated elements.
Restoring rebar passivation.
Concrete screeding to increase rebar coating.
Patching and protecting concrete surface reinforcement affected by corrosion.
Sealing concrete joints and execution of half rounds on jobs prior to waterproofing.
Preparing the substrate: Weak, damaged, or deteriorated concrete must be removed down to a structurally strong substrate. Uncover the corroded rebars, removing the concrete until the exposed rebars are not affected. Clean the perimeters of the rebars so they can be covered with a thickness of at least 1 cm. Remove the rust from the rebars and apply Passrepair, passivating primer art. no. 5875100330, to prevent the formation of rust. Surfaces must be clean, and free from dust, grease or any substance that may affect adhesion.
Preparing the mixture: Mix a 25 kg container with 3.5/4 litres of clean water at low speed (400-600 rpm).
Application: Saturate the surface with water without creating puddles. Before applying, apply a slurry of the product mixed at 5 parts of the product to 1 part of water for optimal adhesion. With the fresh slurry, apply the mortar mixture in coats no thicker than 3 cm. The waiting time between coats is 10-15 min. Clean tools with water after use.
Storage
Maximum recommended storage time: One year in its original container, well sealed and sheltered from the elements (under cover at a temperature between 5°C and 25°C).
