Precautions for use
• Don't use the product if the bag is open and the contents are lumpy.
• Use clean water for mixing.
• Heat accelerates the drying process. Keep the product in a cool place.
• Don't reconstitute hardened Risan R with water
Amount used
• Approximately 19 kg/m² per cm of thickness, depending on the roughness of the substrate.
Storage
• Store in its original sealed container in a cool, dry place.
• Structural repairs to concrete in pillars, beams and walls.
• Coating pipelines and hydraulic works.
• Protection and coating on steel bars in concrete structures.
• Repair work in marine environments and in-port maintenance.
• Protects concrete against harsh water containing sulphates, chlorides etc.
• Filling static joints.
• General repairs to any type of deteriorated concrete.
1. Preparing the substrate:
The substrate must be clean, firm and free of oil, grease or paint marks.
Remove any damaged parts.
Derust the reinforcement.
Moisten the surface to be treated.
To prevent rust forming, apply to iron reinforcement
Bonding mortar - Uniepox (art. no. 0893 210 10).
2. Applying the paste:
Apply a first coat of Risan R in liquid form on the surface to be treated using a brush.
Apply Risan R in 2-4 cm coats at intervals of 10-15 minutes between coats.
In very hot conditions, keep the Risan R damp during the intervals between coats.
After the application, keep the treated surface damp for 30-40 minutes
