Properties
- It increases in volume up to 400 % upon contact with water.
- Its high elasticity and expansion capacity upon contact with water means that it ensures a perfect seal.
- Durable, reversible, chemically stable, unaltered material that maintains its expansion properties after dry/wet cycles.
- Contains no toxic compounds and is environmentally friendly.
- Quick and easy to install, does not require welding.
- Suitable for supporting continuous hydrostatic pressures up to 2 kp/cm2 (2 bar) without any of its properties being impaired or altered.
Avoid contact with water prior to installation.
The degree and rate of expansion may vary depending on the salt content and temperature of the water. For any use not listed, please consult your Würth agent.
Store in a cool, dry place. Protect from moisture, frost and direct sunlight.
For sealing joints between successive concrete pours.
For example, between the foundation slab and wall.
For sealing buried or underground structures such as foundations, basements, pits, tunnel segments etc.
For sealing construction joints in tanks and water tanks to ensure waterproofing.
For sealing passages in installations, around pipes, anchors or conduits that go through the concrete.
Easy and quick application due to its lightness, flexibility and ability to withstand deformation.
1. Clean the surface thoroughly. Smooth any imperfections. Remove residues. Patch any holes and make the surface as smooth as possible.
2. Apply a bead of adhesive between the reinforcement bars and firmly press the joint to ensure attachment.
3. The profile connections can be made as butt joints, i.e. the end of a joint at the start of the next joint, or with a small overlap at the side, but never on top of one another.
4. We recommend reinforcing the attachment using nails; this is essential for applications on vertical surfaces, joints and corners.
