Belleville washer shape
The Belleville washer form features angled teeth to create an optimum and simultaneous friction-fit and form-fit connection.
It makes sense in many cases – primarily when using short screws and loads that are vertical to the screw axis – to prevent the connection from loosening by using lock washers to supplement the pre-tensioning force.
