Application area

Joint sealing between tiles up to 4 mm on both floors and walls.

Filling joints of all types of ceramic coverings (tiles, extruded stoneware, porcelain stoneware etc.), glass mosaics, natural stone, marble.

Suitable for joints in swimming pools treated with traditional liquid or solid chlorine. Annual maintenance is recommended.

Instructions

Preparing the joint: Before applying Juntabor, allow 24 to 48 hours to ensure that the grip adhesive is fully hardened. The joints must be strong, solid, clean and free from dust, wax, grease, paint etc. With highly absorbent dry tiles exposed to the sun in hot weather or in the presence of wind, moisten the joints with clean water. Porous or rough tiles: before grouting, we recommend protecting tiles with a protective layer of Tapaporos Fond, art. no. 0893, to close the pore. This avoids staining and facilitates subsequent cleaning.

Preparing the product: Mix 1.4 litres of water per 5 kg of Juntabor in a clean, rust-free container until completely mixed. Use an electric mixer at low speed. Let the mixture rest for 2 minutes and remix briefly before use. To improve impermeability and reduce the absorption of the joint, add Poltex, art. no. 0893 210 153 or 0893 210 5, in the following proportion: 1 part Poltex to 5 parts water before mixing with Juntabor.

Applying the product: Completely fill the joints using the ceramic grouting trowel, art. no. 0695 942 02, applying sufficient pressure to fill every cavity and leaving no gaps. Remove surface excess by running the trowel diagonally over the surface.

Finish: Thirty minutes after applying, finish the surface of the joint and clean the tiles using a slightly moistened sponge, sponge float for cleaning art. no. 0695 942 03. If small traces of joint mortar remain after cleaning, especially on porous substrates, carry out a final cleaning 7 days after the application using the selective construction cleaner, art. no. 0893 585 751. We recommend pre-testing the cleaner by highly diluting it with water.
