- A product of two components, which, when mixed, form an elastomeric compound and form a bond. Component A is a liquid composed of synthetic resins in dispersion. Component B is a mortar formulated from special cements, additives and aggregates.
- Capable of absorbing joint movements in service of up to 15 %.
- Excellent adhesion on wet substrates. No special bonding bridge required.
- Very good thixotropy. No sagging in vertical joints.
- Suitable for joints in permanent contact with water.
- High weather resistance and durability. No maintenance required.
- Easy application and finish.
- Can be painted to obtain the desired colour of the job.
These instructions are merely recommendations based on our experience. We recommend performing tests for each new type of application or surface to be treated.
Datasheets(X)
Sealing joints in movements between prefabricated concrete structures.
Vertical joints in façades and buildings in general.
Horizontal joints in flooring, garages etc.
Joints subjected to immersion in pipelines, tanks, treatment plants etc.
Rejoining of pavement subjected to deformation.
Repairing active cracks in concrete and masonry.
Joint formation: The width of the joint must not exceed 30 mm. The joint depth must be at least half the width.
Preparing the substrate: The surface to be treated must be solid and clean, free from dust, paint residue, grease, release agents, plaster etc. Use joint filler (PR01_0875820100) to avoid stresses on the bottom of the joint. Moisten the edges of the joint before applying Elastjoint.
Preparing the mixture: The powder (component B) is poured onto the resin (component A) and then stirred with a low-speed mixer (400-600 rpm) until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Use in the specified proportions. Let stand for 5 minutes. The pot life of the mixture can vary between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the weather conditions.
Applying the product: Before ELASTJOINT is applied, it is recommended that a primer coat of component A be applied with a brush, to improve adhesion. Apply ELASTJOINT using a trowel, spatula or a gun.
Application conditions: Do not apply ELASTJOINT when the temperature is below 5°C, on icy and frosty surfaces, or when rain is forecast within 6-8 hours after application.
Curing: Curing time will vary greatly depending on temperature and relative humidity, as well as the thickness of the joint. At 20°C and 50 % RH, an application that is 10 mm thick can be coated after 7 days of curing. Permanent immersion in water requires 3 weeks of curing under such conditions.
Output: ELASTJOINT fills a volume of approximately 0.790 litres with 1 kg of product.
Storage
Twelve months, in its original sealed container, in a cool and dry place.
