Cold wood glue D3/D4

Mix well before each application. Apply glue evenly with a glue roller, brush, dispenser, serrated steel or plastic trowel or pneumatic spreader. Avoid contact with ferrous materials, which may cause bluish stains upon contact with the tannin of the wood. The curing time and bonding speed are influenced by temperature, humidity, porosity of the material and the amount of product used. The best results are obtained under the following conditions: optimum temperature of the product, surface and environment: 18-20°C; moisture in the wood: 8–12%. Residues of fresh product can be removed with water, hardened adhesive with paint thinner, acetone or painting cleaner. To improve moisture resistance, apply a double coating on solid wood

With hardener

• Production of laminate for under-sink cabinets


• Add 5% hardener to D3 PVA glue


• D4 catalysed PVA glue has a pot life of 6 hours (at + 20°C and 60% humidity). After 6 hours, the product irreversibly reverts to class D3

Open time:

This time is reduced if:

• Less than 150 g/m² is applied


• The temperature is above 20°C


• Air humidity is lower than 50%


• Wood moisture is lower than 10%


• The gluing takes place in areas with air currents, especially hot air

It increases if:

• More than 150 g/m² is applied


• The temperature is below 20°C


• Air humidity is above 50%


• Wood moisture is above 10%

Setting time:

• 20–30 minutes. This is the time that the item should be allowed to set, at a temperature of 20°C (environment and wood), application of 150 g/m², air humidity of 50%, moisture content of the wood 10%


• It is advisable to wait at least 24 hours before further processing

This time is reduced if:

• Air humidity is lower than 50%


• Wood moisture is lower than 10%

It increases if:

• More than 150 g/m² is applied


• The temperature is below 20°C


• Air humidity is above 50%

Viscosity:

• Not to be confused with density, it is the product's resistance to flow


• 14,000 ± 1000 mPa, on average


• Do not dilute the product
