Ideal for natural stone that is particularly sensitive to water. Laying tiles of all formats indoors and outdoors.
Bonding of 1.0 x 3.0 ml SLIM large ceramic sheets or similar, not backed by polyester, for walls and floors. Tiling on façades and exteriors.
Can bond ceramic tiles to plaster supports, plaster, plasterboard, mortar, concrete, prefabricated panels, fibre cement, heated floors and floor overlays.
For heavily used surfaces such as supermarkets, industry, high traffic areas and schools.
For special applications, consult the technical department.
Substrates must be strong, solid, free from paint, wax, oil and grease, and not subject to hydraulic shrinkage. Plaster, plasterboard or derivatives must have a residual moisture level of less than 5 % and be free from dust and efflorescence. Mix 5.8 litres of clean water per 20 kg until homogenised. Use an electric mixer at low speed to prevent lumps. Let stand for 2 minutes and re-mix so the paste is ready for use. Preferably use a toothed trowel, with teeth sized according to size of the tiles. The tiles do not need to be dampened before laying. Lay the tiles with sufficient pressure to ensure at least 80 % contact with the cement. Use the double bonding technique in outdoor areas and on tiles with dovetails. For bonding tiles larger than 30 x 30 cm or 40 kg/m² to façades, also use metal anchors. Constantly use your fingertips to check that a surface layer has not formed. If a surface layer does form, re-comb the cement with the toothed trowel but never soak with water.
Always use pressure on the tile to ensure proper adhesion. Tap the tiles with a rubber club hammer. Protect the newly laid tiles from excessive heat, frost and rain for at least 24 hours after laying.
