Granular sodium bentonite compensator for construction joints
  • Granular sodium bentonite in cotton sleeve, which, in combination with moisture, allows stable contact with the base material to which it is applied by nailing

  • Environmentally friendly product - pure sodium bentonite

  • Expands in one direction only when in contact with water

  • Excellent resistance to water pressure 5 kg/cm2 min.

  • Water resistance 1x10-6 m/s min.

  • Weight and size: 720 g (600 g min.) x length 300 cm - dia. 2 cm
Notice

The product can also be used in the presence of salt water, but it is advisable to pre-water it with fresh water to avoid flocculation. Seawater contains chemical substances such as calcium ions and/or potassium, ammonium and magnesium cations, which can delay the hydration of the bentonite and cause flocculation.

Using fresh water to hydrate the bentonite in the presence of seawater increases the resistance of bentonite to the chemicals mentioned, thereby fully ensuring the activation of the exceptional sealing properties of this material.

All materials used are not detrimental to health and safe for the environment.

Instructions

Easy and fast installation thanks to the low weight of the product. The BENTONITE WATERBAR must be applied in the condition in which it is delivered (packaged in its sleeve):

1. Brush off and clean the contact surfaces.

2. Moisten the surface on which the waterstop strip is to be applied.

3. Affix the strip in the middle of the object, using nails every 50 cm. Pull the ends of each piece approx. 5 cm.

4. If piece 3 is too long, cut off the excess and seal off the end with an iron wire. The remaining part of the bentonite waterbar can be reused.

5. BENTONITE WATERBAR is covered with a cotton sleeve and a water-soluble PVA film, which is suitable for absorbing the bentonite granules.
