Total waterproofing.
Cement-based mortar that protects and waterproofs all types of construction surfaces, concrete or mortar in the presence of water or moisture.
Permanent flexibility.
Covers micro-cracks that form in concrete subjected to deformation.
Suitable for waterproofing on both the positive and the negative side.
Excellent adherence to the substrate. No shrinkage and excellent mechanical strength.
Easy to apply.
Very easy to work with a brush, fine trowel or roller.
Weather-resistant.
Excellent resistance to the effects of saline and slightly acidic water, atmospheric pollution and carbonation for tiling on non-submerged outdoor walls.
Resistant to freeze-thaw cycles and contact with chlorinated water.
Suitable for contact with drinking water. Swimming pools that hold permanent water will require annual maintenance or a ceramic tile finish if greater waterproofing durability is desired.
Do not apply coats thicker than 1 mm.
Do not use the product on concrete structures that are unstable or possibly subject to the ground settling.
In swimming pools and tanks, we recommend always doing a leak test to ensure the structural stability of the concrete vessel before applying Pressulastic.
These instructions are merely recommendations based on our experience. We recommend performing tests for each new type of application or surface to be treated.
Datasheets(X)
Swimming pools, ponds, drinking or non-drinking water tanks, basements, prefabricated buildings, concrete blocks, exterior walls of buildings, ditches, irrigation canals, elevator pits. Bathrooms, showers, balconies where ceramic tiles are to be laid. In general, waterproofing on both the positive and the negative side.
Preparing the substrate: new substrates should be strong, solid, free from dust, paint, plaster, wax, oil and fat and be perfectly set.
Substrates with existing issues should be carefully evaluated. Any water leaks must be repaired with Stopleak (art. no. 089035515). In all cases, ensure that the negative pressure does not exceed the maximum allowable threshold of 0.5 bar.
Preparing the product: mix all 25 kg of the product with 6 litres of clean water. Mix mechanically. Applying the product: apply a first coat of 1 mm with a brush or fine metal trowel. We recommend applying the fibreglass mesh, art. no. 0818900207, over this first coat for improved tensile strength.
Allow the first coat to dry for about 4 hrs. at 20°C. Then apply a second coat perpendicular to the first.
Applying on substrates with negative pressure moisture: apply the first two coats as described above. Let dry for 7-10 days. Check whether both coats have been sufficient. If the substrate still oozes moisture after this time, apply a third coat that is 1 mm thick. Let dry for 7-10 days. Check that all three coats have been sufficient. If moisture still exists, apply a final fourth coat
Laying ceramic tiles on Pressulastic: after a minimum of between 24-36 hrs. (at 20°C) after the application, glue the ceramic tiles with the special glue cement Masterkol Extra C2 T S1, art. no. 5875100450.
Storage
Maximum recommended storage time: Twelve months, in its original sealed container, in a cool, well-ventilated place.
